Huddersfield Drug Gangs

Saddened to see whats happening in the once great town of Huddersfield. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/extra/595fH2sGQh/How_did_my_hometown_become_a_violent_crime_hotspot

When I was there, the immigrants were consciencious, law abiding, and very hard working - doing the jobs that could not be filled by English people.

Now those jobs have gone.

But the Government's criminilising soft drugs has created a market for drugs gangs, and so they have got caught up in that.

Same thing that has happened in some of the old mining villages. Not many lads wanted to go down the pit, but when they saw miners with money..cars..girls. .. they went down the pit to get some of that. Now its not mining - its drugs :'(

But these drug dealers are white english men.

Wheras in Huddersfield they seem to be the children of Pakistani Immigrants.

I think I'm beginning to understand why someone living in Huddersfield where the visibile drug dealers are offspring of immigrants could become a racist. Even a Brexiteer. Although, of course, Brexit will lose us more proper jobs and make it worse. :'(

When exactly was Huddersfield a "once great town" and what exactly made it so "great" ???

Manufacturing.

Immigrants were actively encouraged and welcomed because they did the jobs there weren't English people to do.

Now the jobs have gone the immigrants are expected to disappear *-)

Manufacturing what exactly

Google Manufacturing in Huddersfield. Still some good companies left but there used to be a lot more of them - crucially providing a lot more jobs.

and who expects the immigrants to disappear ???

Brexiteers who tell them to go back where they came from (ignorant of the fact most of them were born here)

Started watching the programmes and its obvious many Pakistanis in Huddersfield, especially the older generations, are appalled and ashamed their fellow countrymen are involved in drug dealing.

Don't suppose we'll get to know whose behind it. Because the ones at the top of the chain don't touch the drugs - they con easily replaceable foot soldiers into doing that for them. People who are often victims themselves. The ones at the top keep the drugs beyond arms length.

But they don't want to keep the money at arm's length. So we only seem to hear about them when they are caught with money they can't explain. Like Al Capone was not caught for murder/extortion/etc, but tax evasion.

One of the reasons the EU is keen to get into Her Majesty's Tax Havens, and super-rich people with money there want us to leave the EU before they do.

Whats your continuing obsession with this "15 months" about? The poster took a break from posting end of December 2018 and came back to the forum last month. You regularly quip about Dianne Abbott yet it seems your own memory and figures aren't much good either. *-)

Dave ... "obsession" ... I'd say an "obsession" on here is when a certain someone hunts out another members address or when they can in an instant say what that same member they are obsessed with said seven years previously ... Your funny
