Guest bill h
Having seen almost 80 of them they get worse. Spicy food is awful. I don't like presents. I'm an Atheist and Agnostic person. Many religions are corrupt. Apart from that life is wonderful, I woke up this morning to a bright sunny day what more do you need than a Rapido Motorcaravan? chas
I dont believe you Bill, deep down you enjoy it,but it is true the older you get, and obviously the more Christmases you have seen, it does loose itself in commercialisation. I bet you would not turn down a Christmas present for the Rapido eh ! Have as good a Christmas as you can, thats all any of us can do, oh my the way have a Happy New year. chas
Mel E
OK Bill, I'll rise to this one - at least to deal with the factual inaccuracy!!! You cannot be both an atheist and an agnostic: - an agnostic is merely someone who believes that we 'cannot know' about the existence of a God (from the Latin for 'not know') - an aetheist, on the other hand, positively disbelieves the existence of a God. But at least you'll be 'on side' with the reported one-third of British businesses that refuse to allow Christmas decorations this year 'because they might upset minority religions'. howie
twooks - 2006-12-07 7:07 PM these religious types muscle their way into everything, These people don,t miss a trick Twooks. Unless we are careful, they will take the true meaning of commercialism out of Christmas and turn it into some sort of religious festival. Howard. Lizzy
I really do HATE c.mas. Have done for years. It's so commercial. It means spending time with people that I don't really like [to keep the peace]. It means pressure to buy the right pressie for the right person ......... etc. etc.; it also means rich food that my poor old tum can't tolerate but if I take my own it's frowned upon ........ WELL DONE on your retirement! Hey ho, hey ho, to Brownhills we will go ....... [sorry wrong season] It will be different for us this year as Dad died last week and the funeral is on Monday - at least it will be different, for 31 years hubby and I have kept to routine in order to keep everyone else happy !!!!! Now I can crawl into my shell without people thinking or at least voicing how strange I am ;-)
Mel B
Lizzy Many condolences, not easy I know, we've just had the funeral for hubby's Mum today, she died a week ago, much sooner than expected - she was 85 but no one espected her to go so soon. With his Mum being ill we thought we've have to put off our planned trip over the Christmas break but due to her no longer being with us we will still be going away as we will really want a break from being at home with all the reminders etc. Never liked Christmas at the best of times, certainly not now. :'(
