It's a lovely site although the lady warden is sometimes 3 sheets to the wind with two of them ripped. This was a rough conversation between myself and the Lady warden when we went last week, we arrived late and set up so I left it till the following day before I went into the site office for the barrier key.. "Good morning I,m on pitch 47" So which one did you order? Which one what? Paper ! I didn't order a paper So that means that I will have a spare one. Spare what. Paper. I didn't order a paper I came in about the barrier key. Ok, sorry, so you are leaving. No, we came yesterday and I havent got a barrier key, Why wasn't you given a key when you came yesterday? Because we arrived late. So you,ve been in the late arrivals bay all night. No, we arrived at about 4 ish , set up camp and didn't surface till this morning and I need a barrier key, we haven't been in the late arrivals bay but I just need a key. Have you paid? Yes in full. So you just need a key. Yes. What is your pitch number. 47. So why didn't you just say that. (I thought I had) I left with the key and a smile on my face, she is priceless, reminded me of one of my favourite sketches.......four candles !! J9withdogs Posted November 21, 2007 Share Posted November 21, 2007 Well, Anthony, I took a look at the freezing fog with visibilty down to zero, then I read the forecast for temperatures down to -5, followed by torrential rain & high winds, and decided to stay home. Glad I did as I would have been packing up in the snow on Monday morning! Will get there in the spring, hopefully and let you know if the warden's sobered up.
