Fast Pat Posted November 28, 2019 Share Posted November 28, 2019 Again the example given is of a pensioner whose income includes direct dividend income, it is the increase in tax on dividends that will rise to close a loop hole were directors are paying less than paye employees. But most pensioners will have their shares in pension funds and this wouldn't impact them. Simplest solution for anyone with individual shares would be to move them into a SIPP, then the dividends wouldn't be taxed, just any drawdown at the normal rates.
