Mapping Media Freedom showed entry was refused to conference and events during the election ... Yuk Not quite the full picture as you well know. I suggest you read through the embedded links of MMF which is co-funded by the EC and investigates in all EU countries and entry candidates......something which you've voted to withdraw from, thereby denying MMF future access. Good job they can't investigate the US where the 1st Amendment is flouted by a thin skinned "president" who regularly accuses media he doesn't like of publishing "fake news", even if factual, and only last week refused to answer a journalists question then banned him from access to the WH. Glad to see CNN are now taking legal action over that.

You said; antony1969 - 2018-11-14 4:30 PM Starts with press censorship and the next steps vile anti-Semitic hatred You're very selective about racism aren't you? If you're talking about press censorship contributing to racial hatred then i agree, it certainly can and has. But let's be absolutely clear here, that covers hatred of all ethnicity's and minorities, not just one specific sector alone. You cannot have one without the other. So which is to be.....condemning race hate as a whole in it's entirety......or only antisemitism? Had you bothered to read the website you mentioned, but typically didn't link (i suspect because you hadn't sourced your information from MMF but more likely some far right extremist site) you would see they investigate much much more than antisemitism, and not just within one political party either. You really should research from more credible sources, such as the origin where possible, rather than swallowing garbage off some far right extremist site. Quit the silly strawman you're using and address the point i covered in the post you replied to. You say a lot but yet say nothing about condemning Labour for their obvious press censorship ... Once again, i'm having to repeat the blindingly obvious that you never took the trouble to research a few facts over what you opened this thread with, ie, from the MMF website itself where you would soon see there is a much bigger picture to what you've skewed to fit your narrative...you are looking at the matter of media censorship with totally blinkered tunnel vision. Fwiw i'm probably way more against any form of press censorship than i imagine you are as i've seen the damage it can do as it falls into censorship by the state which is more commonly found in totalitarian regimes than a democracy.
