Carole
We recently bought a mains flatscreen TV for use in the 'van, planning to use it when we had a hookup. To our delight, the TV works via a 12v converter, which we think means we can use it with the 12v connection in the 'van. The problems are (1) Will it be OK to plug the TV in this way and (2) we have been unable to source a suitable lead/plug combination. The power lead which fits into the back of the TV has what is virtually a 4-pin mini DIN plug, but the pins are much thicker than a standard DIN. We consulted Maplins electronics, who knew of this plug, but couldn't source one. Has anyone else managed to buy one of these plugs or found a way round it? (The TV is a 15inch flat screen ONN model from Asda if anyone is interested - a lot cheaper than the ones advertised as specially for caravans and motorhomes)

Guest starspirit
It does not really matter where this question is planted as those that know about these things will soon see it and reply in due course so don't worry about it Carole with an e!
