Looks like Keir might just save the day (Clever these Lawyer types).

Labour is planning to force a Commons vote within weeks that would make it impossible for Britain to crash out of the European Union without a deal, as fears grow about a disastrous hard Brexit if parliament rejects Theresa May’s agreement.

Keir Starmer, the shadow Brexit secretary, is working on plans to amend key elements of Brexit legislation that still have to pass through the Commons, in order to prevent parliament ever approving the option.

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2018/nov/18/labour-keir-starmer-force-amendments-block-no-deal-brexit

After all the threat of no deal was just to pretend to the EU that we were serious about leaving with nothing wasnt it? Well no point in pretending that anymore of course.

So if this legislation passes no deal will be impossible. The Peoples Vote needs to be agreed after this passes though then there is no question of "No Deal" being on the ballot paper.

At last some decent opposition! Why dont Labour just bin Corbyn and put Keir in charge?

If he was a clever lawyer........he wouldn't of become a politician >:-) ...........

It's got nowt to do with law - it's all about manipulation to get your own way and POWER and control over other people's lives - that's what politicians do - especially wealthy socialists - now there is a contradiction in terms - wealthy socialists!

beardy who turns up at the 100th anniversary Remembrance Sunday in a Matalan Anorak.

Well at least he doesn't have a taxpayer funded stylist on £60k per annum and an OBE.

What they say is more important than how they look.

A man of the people doesn't dress like a king.

He dresses like they can afford to dress.

Ah well, perhaps he is a true statesman who thinks he can make a difference. Lets put it this way, he would be a better option for Labour leader than beardy who turns up at the 100th anniversary Remembrance Sunday in a Matalan Anorak who pretends to be a remainer.

Nah........He's a "On EU" message national soul seller *-) ........

I'd trust Corbyn more than him 8-) ........

This is the problem isn’t it?

There’s socialist, China, Russia and Korea, to name but 3.

And there’s Democratic Socialism, you will see some of the most socialistic nations in the world today:

UK, Germany,France, Japan, etc

Denmark

Finland

Netherlands

Canada

Sweden

Norway

Ireland

New Zealand

Belgium

Some of the wealthiest countries in the world.

The problem is, that right wing politicians and their supporters think that they are the only ones entitled to make a profit, become wealthy and become powerful.

It’s not just the fact of being all these things, it’s how, and what you do with it when you’ve got it.

The last two years have been spent manipulating a political party, the Conservative party, for the career benefit of some very dubious already wealthy characters.

Good on ya Keer, about time we heard some positive ideas,

If they save us from a no deal outcome , most reasonable people will be pleased.

I’m not sure if they will be pleased enough to vote for Labour, but if it gets to that stage I don’t think the Tory party will be in very good shap!

At least that £60k per annum stylist worked for the money ... You'd prefer they didn't work for the taxpayer pay out I suppose like those you defend ... Other than your bitterness whats the OBE got to do with anything ???

I would if Keir was running the show now, in a heartbeat and Ive always voted Tory but this ToryKip party we have now are just out of control. When you hear the likes of Major and Clark speak now its like they are from an entirely different party. It is a great idea and I hope it has legs. I cant see how anyone would dare to object to it after all "nobody wants no deal".

I’ve voted Labour at every opportunity, and joined the party about 5 years ago, but Mr Corbyn’s election to leader, and the rise of Momentum made me leave.

But who else would I vote for?

Yes I think he could do it,

Snowie

But in our area it wouldn’t make much difference.........unless the Tories go into meltdown!
