Guest pelmetman
"EU officials note there is still time for London and Brussels to meet a deadline at the end of that month to agree on extending negotiations beyond the end of the year. But Johnson, who had a life-threatening bout of COVID-19 and is under fire at home for his handing of the outbreak - has ruled that out. "Maybe we should just believe him when he says he won't extend the transition period," said an EU official involved in the negotiations. "In which case, we are a bit puzzled as to what comes next ... The tight schedule is even more tricky now with coronavirus, there is no space to waste time." https://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/eu-sees-brexit-talks-impasse-124859907.html Yep maybe EU should believe him (lol) (lol) (lol) ......... Well that and the 52% who voted for Brexit and then put him in power when we said all along that was his plan. It doesn't matter now though as not only can he simply blame the EU for not giving them a deal he can just blame any economic fall out on Covid 19 now as well. A fifth of the worlds deaths to Covid seem to be in the UK because Johnson sat on his hands, we plummet towards a no deal Brexit which will devastate the industrial heartlands that ironically voted for it yet still they fawn over him like he's some kind of Messiah. You really couldn't make it up. A proper slow motion car crash.
