Amazing!! The holy grail but wait! Didn't "all" the providers offer free roaming before we left?

How desperate must Johnson be to tweet that? Oh dear. Just go, hand your notice in tomorrow and go quietly for everyones sake.

Errrr....well yes, but two is a start!

This is one to add to the crown mark on pint glasses and a return to imperial weights and measures! :-|

Found a "benefit". 8-)

Not sure it's any use to you but the Dear Leader excitedly tweeted about it. (lol)

It's very sporting of you to try to help Dave out, but I don't think that anything that is unchanged after Brexit

can be seen as one of the benefits of leaving.

I think Dave has thrown in the towel on the subject of benefits now, the last time I asked him about it he sounded quite listless.

;-)

Under current plans, if you are with EE, Vodafone or Three you WILL lose free roaming because " we " voted for Brexit.

Its actually a big issue if your a motorhomer as is the carry on with pet passports, bringing food into Europe and of course the biggy only 90 days allowed in Europe. So a couple of providers have (with restrictions) said they are not bringing in roaming charges for now. How long before they renege on that?

I keep searching Malc but there's nothing. Aladdin would have more luck with his lamp. The only benefits Pelmet could list are those he scrounged off state welfare. ;-)

Don’t see it as any real issue at all. Pick up a Sim, put it in, inform all contacts and that’s it.

It no different to going to a non EU country as was. But the benefit of the Orange Mobicarte is excellent coverage for about 15€. No contract, so simple.

End of free roaming is only an issue if you want it to be.

The 90 day issue is potentially a nuisance. But unlike some people we are able to adapt. And when we looked back at our travels thus far, 90 days is more than enough.

But I fully accept not for all.

LOL! You clearly either dont use your phone much or dont travel abroad much. I can remember the days before the roaming charges went. They were an absolute nightmare. Getting local sims was never straight forward, they were not cheap if you wanted lots of data and a total PIA if you diverted calls from your main number as half the time it never worked. "Inform all your contacts?" (lol) Jeesaz! I have hundreds.

Of course its not an issue if you go away for two weeks to Benidorm and just pay the three quid a day or whatever it costs but its nearly £100 a month if you are away for months on end and even then providers are stipulating limits.

Its just one more benefit amongst hundreds that we have lost because of batty Brexit. Yes on its own its just a PIA but collectively when you tot them all up Pelmet is right, we really are LOSERS but what he cant quite grasp is that means all of us including you, me and him.

I've used my Vodafone unlimited for streaming TV and stuff through a unlimited data deal costing me £20 a month sim and Spotify through out Europe for the last five years. My current contract ends in September and I'm waiting to see what they offer.

I think the companies will be watching and waiting to see how important roaming is to customers, either way you can expect to end up paying more after Brexit, that's a given.

LOL! Says the man who is gleeful (for reasons nobody else can comprehend) that house prices have increased preventing the very people he fakes concern about getting on the housing ladder.

So far apart from minimum wage increases which are mandatory there is no real indication that wages have increased for the low paid. There has been some isolated cases such as Lorry drivers but they weren't low paid in the first place. When you consider the financial blow, rise in prices / inflation most low paid workers are probably worse off now than they were before Brexit and there is little sign that things will change.

There was no real evidence that Freedom of movement drove down low paid wages anyway, at best in some cases maybe 1%. All ending it has done is create massive shortages of staff in sectors where Brits simply cant or wont work or there simply are not enough "natives" to do the work anyway.

Only in your weird world can free roaming charges be connected to low paid workers.

A labour shortage always increases wages.

It did when we were in the EU - and it still does now that we have left.
