RoyH Posted May 30, 2009 Share Posted May 30, 2009 Anybody seen the latest from the Green/Climate Brigade? Apparently we should all paint our house roofs white. This will reflect the heat of the sun with some effect on climate change but I can't see the advantage. Petrol tankers and your motorhomes are white so that the heat will be reflected thus helping to keep the contents as cool as possible. Surely therefore we should paint the house roof black so that as much heat as possible would be absorbed and we would not need so much central heating thus reducing the carbon emissions. I think they've got it 100% wrong. Although as you might guess I think the whole thing is a myth conjured up to relieve us of more of our hard eared cash. (Ducks behind parapet).
