The speed of the National Debt Clock http://www.nationaldebtclock.co.uk/
is set to multiply with the combined effects of Brexit, BoJo's pre election tax cuts and spending increases, and 'foreign aid' to BoJo hangers on..

Send the bill to the forums Brexit "economist" whose always claiming our economy is "ticking along quite nicely"........it might wake him up.

Every time the pound falls on news of a no-deal Brexit the Mad Hatter thinks that makes him a Winner

£15 billion spent BY the UK
By what Mad Hatter logic will it all be spent IN the UK?
Common sense tells us that all the foreign hauliers bringing in our goods will be raising their rates to cover their increased costs.

You're wasting your time. The Mad Hatter doesn't do common sense or logic. Also his preferred "read" is screechy xenophobic headers from the Wail with plenty of pictures.

We cant. Only about 10% of the current lot will be able to get permits to drive outside of the UK.

You wanted to become a third country. If the allocation of permits is limited for third countries then you probably need to be in the single market and customs union. Oh, hang on..

£15 billion spent BY the UK
By what Mad Hatter logic will it all be spent IN the UK?
Common sense tells us that all the foreign hauliers bringing in our goods will be raising their rates to cover their increased costs.

Perhaps we best start using our own hauliers then? ..........

We cant. Only about 10% of the current lot will be able to get permits to drive outside of the UK.

Who says? ..........

The Remoaner Doom & Gloom bible the Guardian no doubt .........

https://www.commercialfleet.org/news/latest-news/2019/02/12/no-deal-brexit-haulage-permits-awarded-to-less-than-1-000-operators

Thats from before the last deadline before last but I dont think the situation has changed.

From your link .......

"Less than 1,000 hauliers have been able to “win” a haulage pass to enable them to carry on sending trucks out of the UK in the event of a no-deal Brexit."

"WIN"??? .........

So proof the EU is a fecking lottery? ..........

With the dice loaded against meal ticket UK ......

Keep it up Barry ..........

You're doing wonders for confirming my 2016 vote .......

But you kept telling everyone you knew what you were voting for. Doesn't look like you did after all.

Pray tell how you could confuse my post so? ........

Instead of making stupid remarks all the time why don't you READ through ALL of that article Barry posted?

I'd rather wipe my a*se with stinging nettles .........

At least the pain would be novel ........

Not just the problem of getting permits to drive in the EU of course.
British International Haulage is going the same way as British Merchant Shipping - taxed and regulated out of business. Lorries are seen as an easy stealth tax by the UK Government, because people don't realise that they are paying lorry taxes on the price of their goods.
So as well as paying higher taxes than their European competitors, British Registered Hauliers are hit my such things as Motorway Service Area and other Parking Charges, Dartford Tolls etc which foreign registered hauliers can just stick two fingers up to, because the UK Government doesn't follow them back to their home country to make them pay, despite all their bluff and bluster.
So for all those reasons most of our essential supplies come in on foreign vehicles, who will obviously demand higher rates to cover their increased costs because of Brexit.
