Gaby53
We are considering doing the Scottish North Coast 500 in the next year or so - covid permitting - and would like to know whether the roads are suitable for our 7.2 metres motorhome. Any knowledge out there?

Any knowledge out there? Yes they are OK. Mountain roads in Scotland are better engineered than the Lake district or Cornwall. Much of the land won't support trees - which actually makes the views better because you can see further from the roads, without the bother of overhanging branches forcing large vehicles on to the opposite side of the road that you so often get in England. jumpstart
Ha...the road surface is just about the worst in Europe. I have had smother dirt tracks in New Zealand. Sure that’s not everywhere but the van shudders ,shakes and rolls. The single track out through Drumbeg would be taxing for a 7 m Motorhome and hope you are good at reversing into tight spaces. It’s all doable just depends if you want a reasonable quite life and not do it in summer with the queues and traffic and midges. Enjoy.

That may be so But still better than England and free overnight parking is easy to find Because Government spending is higher in Scotland BoJo sends us your money to bribe us not to vote for the Nationalists So BoJo maintains HIS empire at YOUR expense
