Derek Uzzell Posted April 25, 2020 Share Posted April 25, 2020 I’ve recently been discussing the Chatterbox forum with Rachel Stothert the Out&AboutLive forum Administrator. Amongst other things, I mentioned to Rachel that - despite applications to register on the O&AL forums nowadays needing Administrator approval - scan postings by new forum-members are starting to be made on Chatterbox (for example) https://forums.outandaboutlive.co.uk/forums/General-Chat/Chatterbox/Classic-everyday-handbag-for-women/54958/ I don’t monitor the Chatterbox forum and, provided that spammers restrict their occasional activity to that forum, I’m not concerned. At the bottom of the forum webpages is the statement Any problems? Contact the administrator So if you (the Chatterbox aficionados) spot what you believe is a spam posting, rather than amusing yourselves by responding to it, immediately use the Administrator contact feature to report the posting to Rachel Stothert who will be able to freeze the spammer’s account.
