... BBC Panorama programme surely was the lowest point of BBC bias for Liebour ... https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8281267/Culture-Minister-Oliver-Dowden-blasts-BBC-director-general-bias-wake-Panorama-programme.html ... Why should the decent right thinking folk of this country pay a license fee that props up an out of date socialist propaganda organisation like the Beeb ... We of course dont pay the license , tax or any road tax etc but if we did we would pretty angry

So its a case of shoot the messenger then. Some of the Doctors interviewed might be "Labour Activists"!!! Oh wow! run for the hills because everyone knows being a left wing Activist is like being some kind of terrorist or something. *-) Maybe they struggled to find anyone Pro Tory in the NHS to interview? Just a hunch. Cant imagine why that would be.

Taking aside that some of the interviewees might have been "lefties" it still doesnt explain where the vital hundreds of thousands of gowns went missing to that the Government refuses to comment on, why they are counting individual gloves rather than pairs in their PPE totals and can tell you exactly how many there is but cant tell us how many NHS workers have died or why the factory churning out vital PPE ended up flogging its stuff to the USA because they were ignored by the government. Was the factory owner a lefty as well that was interviewed?

Its not just the BBC that have criticised the government either. ITV, Sky etc all have, take your pick. Naughty Beeb for not doing as they were told this time eh?

How about we discuss the findings of the program rather than obsessing with who was interviewed and what their political bias might be. I am assuming you watched it of course?

The BBC and our other Remoaner biased media are just like the Loser Brigade on here ;-) ........

Bitter and twisted and hoping to use COVID19 to win them an extension to Brexit *-) .........

Fortunately Boris knows who put him into No 10 B-) ........

So keep on dreaming Losers >:-) .........

"Under the terms of the withdrawal agreement, the transition period is allowed to be extended by 12 or 24 months. If a trade deal were to be struck sooner, the transition period could be ended earlier. The withdrawal agreement says the two sides need to agree to extend the transition by 1 July 2020 - just five months after the UK's departure."

Just 58 days until you Lose again (lol) ........

Keep up Granddad. The BBC has been towing the Tory line for yonks now. How they managed to get this Panorama episode however past the men in black I dont know.

Why have you diverted the subject to Brexit?

Seeing as you have though. If some of us are right about crashing out of the EU in the middle of Pandemic or at anytime really we will all be losers wont we? Actually thats not true. All the remainers I know are wealthy. Its the poor that will suffer the most and most of them voted to leave.

Yes, I read that the government had complained, but it's unclear just what their case is.

Well if the factual claims made in the program are untrue then I am sure they will come down hard on them and it will be big news. Nothing so far apart from articles accusing the interviewees of being loony lefties. Of course this could just be a tactic to distract from the facts in the program. You would think they would have more important things to concentrate on but no, spin and covering your arse always comes first before saving peoples lives.

Apart from it being strange to copy the DM in on a letter to the BBC Director General, there are two significant things about Dowden's letter.

First, that the DM has only selectively quoted it, so what have they omitted?

Second, that from the parts quoted (and from the fact that the DM doesn't say otherwise), Dowden has no quarrel with the factual accuracy of the programme, just with the fact that those interviewed were Labour supporters.

Ad hominem arguments are famously the last resort of inquisitors with no ammunition. This will be (and doubtlessly was intended to be) manna for the right wing claquers, but those with the left hemispheres of their brains still also functioning (so still able to question motivations), will draw their own conclusions.

The logical conclusion is that it is true, and that the Conservatives are seriously ratted by what was revealed. The dangers of laying false claims under present circumstances are so obvious that I'd be amazed if the content wasn't exhaustively checked for accuracy and reliability before it was broadcast. Talk about poking a stick down a hornet's nest!!

Of course he hasn't just as his echo chamber 'twin' won't either and that much is crystal clear from their inane posts.

Prof. John Ashton didn't mince his words. The Bolton factory you mentioned making the fabric for gowns and masks.....80-90% of which had been bought buy the US after being ignored by our government despite being contacted.

There are many questions and inactions which UK government must be held to account over, in particular why they downgraded Covid-19 thereby weakening the PPE guidelines they themselves had previously made.

It was a damning report.
