Sealing a porch awning.

Sorry - dodgy mental abilities today!

Having had a problem in the past with wind blowing through the sides of our porch awning I came up with a huge improvement that cost just £1.25.

I bought a pack of 20 of suction cups in clear plastic with a metal hook attached. These stick on the side of the caravan and the inner edge of the awning with the elastic in nit can by hooked into the hooks. Only used about 5 on each side, so have another 10 spare! - all for £1.25.

With a little adjustment of the metal hook with pliers, I found the gap down the side of the awning was kept at a tiny 1/8th inch at most and what a difference it made.

These packs of sucker hooks are available from any £1 shop type place or DIY type store.

Only thing I want to do is to get some small bore plastic/rubber tube to push onto the wire hook as the end on some is a bit sharp and I want to protect the awning material.
