Lordy indeed! And huge support for the EU within the other European countries. What does this tell us? Well firstly the Brexiteers were desperate for other countries to follow suit and to see the EU crumble. Well that aint happening anytime soon and it also seems that there is very little support for us leaving. I think perhaps that many remainers maybe did respect the decision to leave though but are of course still remainers so its pretty clear that if the question was asked now the answer would be to remain. Well Brexit is happening, its not "done" but its happening but it had better be a huge success as with those kind of percentages its going to be a hot topic if it isnt and quite possibly what swings the next election. All we have so far is a face saving Brexit in name only We are still paying the fees and still bound by the rules Only real difference is we no longer have a seat at the table, or any say in the rules we are bound by, and have to employ more buracrats to try and find out second hand what is being decided for us behind the closed doors of the meetings since we are no longer allowed in. Brexit has to be a huge success in order to convince all those growing numbers of remainers it was a good idea. Now Johnson can try and fudge that and buy them off but it might very well be like sticking your fingers in the holes of a bursting dam. Starmer is playing it safe. No plans to hold another referendum on rejoining but I dont think he has ruled it out. Of course you Brexiteers have nothing to worry about surely.
