Of course you didn't link to that as it's absolute garbage that Mr Sadiq Khan, the highly respected Mayor of London, has "driven 300,000 Londoners out all on his own". Your hyperbole is laughable! (lol)(lol)

Had you took time to read beyond the screechy header of the Daily Xenophobe you'd also have seen that .....the capital lost a net 103,228 people to other parts of the country but that's not so 'appealing' so they bury it.

The real reason people move out from London is obvious......affordability. Many cannot afford their own property and even rents are high so getting a rung on the property ladder there is extremely difficult. That said, a house going on the market will have a buyer within hours. My dil works for one of Londons main estate agents and she will often have a queue waiting outside a property new on the market. To be sold or rented out the same day is the norm there.

Other people move out to downsize...or in Londoners case 'upscaling'.... a 3 bed terrace with small garden in the 'right' location will easily sell for £1m, buy a 4/5 bed luxury detached in the country with an acre of land, and bank a big wedge of cash.

The Torygraph reported the same story which backs up exactly the points i made;

Last year the number of London-based first-time buyers quitting the city to buy their first home hit a record high. Research by estate agency Hamptons International for The Telegraph found that just six in 10 of those who went from renting or living with parents in the capital to buying a home decided to stay put there.

The desertion of Britain’s capital by aspiring homeowners has been a gradual process, as potential buyers find themselves increasingly priced out.

More British left UK entirely than those who simply moved out of London to buy their first home as potential buyers find themselves increasingly priced out.

All property prices have gone up.......including London, but the difference being when yours increases by £10 or 20k, the equivalent property in London will increase by six, eight or ten times that amount. Brexit uncertainty will have an effect as this article shows....and yes, that includes you so get used to losing a few grand. After all, you "don't really need it" anyway......remember? ;-) (lol)

After all causing a house price crash is Corbyn's stated intention :-| .........

"This could include ending a property owner’s automatic right to sell. The ideas are contained in a radical report, commissioned by the party"

If Corbyn were to get elected then the very next day I expect a lot of tenants like ours to be given 3 months notice...........

Whatever drop there may, or may not have been, in London property prices it certainly hasn't been significant enough to stop people from moving further out to get a foot on the property ladder at a more affordable price as clearly stated in your Torygraph which you're ignoring as it's not fitting into your narrative you've been trying to push.

I don't know why you obsess so much over London when you don't even live there but back to thread topic, more British left UK entirely than those who simply moved out of London to buy their first home as potential buyers find themselves increasingly priced out.
