Can't read the Daily Mail because it won't accept my adblock plus blocking unacceptable adverts.

So the Daily Mail is something I just have to live without (lol)

"something I just have to live without" ... Along with a toilet n'all

Getting a little tired of “the haters” epithet. Would like to know who thought of it and why it appears to have been trotted out so frequently by some on here. I was taught that “hate” was a very strong word to be used very sparingly.

Most normal people think it's use as a way of shutting down adult debate quite stupid and this link explains why, with some very appropriate descriptions too. ;-)

Haters makes a refreshing change from "Raciiiiist,Islamaphobe, Bigot, Extremist" etc etc though doesnt it ... What about "Pansy" or "Pansy Boy", well known homophobic insults spewed out by our resident homophobe ... HLM, Homosexual Lives Matter ... Well to most of us

The opposite of ' like ' is 'dislike ' - but a lot of people don't appear to be educated enough to know that.

It's just become the everyday language of internet and social media Trolls.

When used by a competent adult, that is what it should mean. However, I have known small children, when denied, for example, an ice cream, burst into tears and say "I hate you!".

So, what we have to distinguish is whether those who endlessly call others with whom they disagree "haters", are the former, or the latter. :-D

As Burns so eloquently put it:

O wad some Pow'r the giftie gie us

To see oursels as ithers see us!

Think before you write folks - lest ye be judged! :-D

Just a way of shouting down those they disagree with when they don't have the capacity for reasoned argument.

In another time they would have been Nazis, because they would have been used by Hitler and Goering in the same way they have been used by Johnson & Cummings :-S

Johnson & Cummings have used the same tricks to make them hate Immigrants/Jews/The EU/Whatever. Create an enemy, (They need an enemy) and use it to divide and rule. They are the haters, so they want to get the word in first.

Haters makes a refreshing change

Change *-)

I thought it was the oldest, simplest trick in the book?

When you can't answer the question, just attack the questioner.

Easy as that.

Problem is not everyone is fooled.

But as Goering said, don't bother with the intellectuals because we will never win them over.

Just concentrate on the rest.

I suppose I'll have to explain it.

I'm quoting Goering because you are using the same trick he used.

So its you who needs to take a long hard look at yourself.

Chuckle ... Its bad enough you're insinuating you are an intellectual remembering you're a fella that dumps his poo in public bins but then you quote a raving mad anti-Semite to try to score points ... Plot lost Princess ... Looks like Brians on your team though , good old Brian
