Barryd999
Rabid Javid is going to ask the public which EU laws they want removing! Good luck with that. We have been asking that for four years and apart from something about Bananas (that was made up anyway, nothing!) Its behind a paywall but if you google the title you can bypass it. General gist below. https://www.ft.com/content/4b0d8310-4353-11ea-abea-0c7a29cd66fe Chancellor Sajid Javid will use his Budget next month to launch a “Brexit red tape challenge”, inviting members of the public to propose ways in which Britain might diverge from the EU rule book. The concept of the UK diverging from EU regulations is at the heart of Boris Johnson’s Brexit policy but, more than three and a half years after Britain voted to leave the EU, ministers have yet to articulate exactly what they mean. Now Mr Javid is to ask members of the public and the business community to identify EU rules enshrined in British law that the government could “improve or remove” — a process he has described as a “competition”. John52
I recall something similar when Norman Tebbitt was Margaret Thatcher's 'Employment' Minister, and he was asking the public to send him excuses to bash the Trade Unions.
Barryd999
I hope we get to see all the requests online somewhere. Although I suspect there is a team right now trying to find actual real laws that their anonymous bots can request be cancelled rather that Dave from Dagenham writing in to ask them to repeal the law he saw in the sun about the eu banning bar maids showing cleavage.
