Barney123
Help please, I understand as well as providing details of an Antigen test I must also fill in a Passenger Locator Form. I have been told to go to the UK Gov website for it, but all I can see is forms for travel to UK not travel from UK. Can anyone please help with some info on where to actually get this form to fill in. Thanks
John52
I found the poferries.com website far more helpful than the Government. (But when I saw what was involved it put me off going )

Derek Uzzell
The UK Passenger Locator Form (PLF) you’ve asked about applies ONLY to travellers entering the UK https://www.gov.uk/provide-journey-contact-details-before-travel-uk You’d have been better asking about this on the Motorhome Matters forum, where the PLF has come up before (example here) https://forums.outandaboutlive.co.uk/forums/Motorhomes/Motorhome-Matters/Sworn-statement-for-France-/59130/ and where there’d be people (like me) who have practical experience of what’s involved in completing the damn thing... (Other countries may require ‘locating’ information to be provided by travellers going there, but the PLF on the gov-uk website relates only to people entering the UK.) Derek Uzzell
The CURRENT rules for travellers going to France are explained here https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/france/entry-requirements For ‘fully vacinated’ UK travellers the relevant information is: Travellers who are fully vaccinated do not need an essential reason to travel to France and do not need to self-isolate on arrival. Fully vaccinated travellers will need to present the following documents: - a completed ‘sworn statement’ (déclaration sur l’honneur) form self-certifying they are not suffering from symptoms associated with coronavirus and have not been in contact with confirmed cases in the preceding fortnight. This can be found on the French government’s website - proof of vaccination status - from 00:00 4 December/ 11pm GMT 3 December, proof of a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 48 hours before departure (PCR or antigen) Further detail on who is considered fully vaccinated by the French government, and how you can prove your status, can be found below under ‘vaccination status’. If you are fully vaccinated, you do not need to complete the certificate to leave metropolitan France, unless you are travelling to a country on France’s red list. Some travel companies (particularly those with a high volume of travellers) may have a system allowing a traveller to input travel data in advance, and/or the company’s website may carry easy-to-understand guidance. For example, the Euro Tunnel “Le Shuttle” website includes some advice on the Passenger Locator Form (PLF). https://www.eurotunnel.com/uk/travelling-with-us/latest/covid-19/ There’s been a lot of criticism of the PLF, but the form needs (or attempts) to cover all eventualities where travellers entering the UK are concerned. As COVID-19 travel rules are in constant flux, the PLF is not set in stone. It is possible to ‘practice’ filling in a PLF without actually submitting it and, provided that the PLF is not submitted, practice versions will eventually be deleted.
