Good news although reading through the tweets it does not sounds as straight forward as it first sounds.

I reckon the guy who posted it will understand it.....he's a barrister. May would do herself a favour by phoning him for legal advice before she digs her hole any deeper.

Hinge and Brackett no doubt be along soon.

Once they've worked out how to spin how the taking back control thingy works for them.

Prolly a bit over their heads.

Lordy!

Did you call? ;-) ..........

BTW why is this example of Remoaner expert scaremongering any different to all the other "Government generated propaganda" you've produced????? :-S .........

This seems a bit like covering your eyes when frightened, Dave!

You seem to think that by calling someone a "remoaner" (or similar) you can make them disappear. You can't. So watch out - the Bogey Man is still coming to get you! :-D

BTW Maugham is a QC, and his speciality is taxation, so he's hardly likely to be the darling of the left wing, is he?

That bit just flew completely over his head.....in fact i don't think he even read anything off the website link. The tweet was enough to send Pelmet into meltdown. *-)

So what, you're arguing for one party just for capital and the other just for labour, with no-one of small means able to join/vote for the first, and no-one of great means able to join/vote for the other? And if they do, they're hypocrites?

So no-one can ever change their allegiance, and if the rich loose all their dosh they must change their party, and if the workers get rich so must they?

Isn't that thinking exactly what is wrong with UK politics? The rich voting for the rich and the (relatively) poor voting for the poor?

Isn't it supposed to be government of the people, by the people, for the people? Instead, you seem to be arguing for government of the people, by the party, for the party? I'll admit it seems to have got more like that over the years, but is that really what you want? Winner takes all, and sod the rest?

I think the Uk goverment has made some valid points and await the outcome. There is so much complexity in the competing arguments that it would take a super brain to work this all out.

Surely it hasn't taken one to see Brexit has created one heck of an unholy mess though, not to mention highly suspect "activities" which brought about the referendum result? And that must be properly heard through the justice system before May pushes anymore of this leaving nonsense through. Brexit has become sheer manic desperation now and i'm not comfortable at all with the way that's continued....it seems we've left democracy behind.

The "coalition of chaos" May coined to aim at her opposition, has instead become more appropriate to her own shambolic 'party' she once naively termed "strong and stable" which is falling hopelessly apart with major disagreements and a variety of ministers coming and going that fast it's likely people no longer know who the HS or Foreign sec is.

Have faith Malc. My best effort, even though I am definitey no super brain, is that the CEJU will duck the question because there is yet no attempt by the UK government to recind the Article 50 notice. My best guess is that Parliament needs to have a majority vote to rescind the Article 50 notice which would then trigger the need for the other members of the EU to accept or reject that decision and depending on that decision there may need to be a decision from the CEJU as to whether they can

This is part 1 so far; https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-46345287

They are in a stalemate but what i find staggering is Britain was prepared to disregard and flout the very law it had written! How many more laws are they going to flout? I feel May is now purely treading water with some weird sort of belief she's going to go down in history as the greatest leader since Churchill. She believes she's invincible and thinks she's above the law. Those are dangerous ideas.

Part 2 of course is Banks criminal proceedings said to be 'fast tracked' to be heard before Christmas.

Nope purely pointing out the hypocrisy of Labour thats all ... Party of the people , the common man aint a cabinet full of millionaires surely ... I could have mentioned any number of hypocritical things to describe Labour as you prolly could with the Tories , maybe sumat like a shadow cabinet member condemning colleagues for sending their children to private education but then only to do the very same thing ... You suggest Maugham cant be a left wing darling because of his tax connections , I say in the age of hypocrisy he certainly can
