Scottish Joan
I am curious to know the answer to this because my 8yr old is bad for coming out of school with her jacket wide open, even in the days the weather is unpleasant, she is the same on her brownies camping weekends away etc. Everytime she does this, me or one of her Brownie leaders are always heard saying the phrase, "Amelia, can you please fasten up your jacket zip". So, that's my question. Why do children need asked to zip their jackets because its not just my daughter, its nearly all of her brownies troop that need to be asked? jumpstart
Cos they’re kids. No real logic to it. My daughters even in winter on tiled floors would take off their socks and run around in bear feet.

Scottish Joan
Any tips on how I can get her to zip it when the weather is unpleasant or, should I just keep doing it for her myself?
jumpstart
Probably best to do it yourself, unless you want a battle.

I just wasn't sure if that would be best seeing as she is 8 and can do it herself but you've reassured me that its maybe for the best.
