Last night, Wayne Fitzgerald, deputy leader of the Conservative-run Peterborough council, said: ‘Tariq Mahmood is a villain and he was front and centre of the Labour campaign within the Muslim community.

Winning by corruption or illegal activity is not ok. You seemed to be ok with the EU referendum actually being "proved" to be illegal though when "Leave" was found guilty of electoral fraud. Has anyone involved with the Peterborough By election been found guilty of anything yet?

Get your facts straight "Remoaner Barry" ........

Found guilty of over spending by the Remoaner biased EC ...........

It'll be interesting if they even bother to give the Peterborough by election more than a Nelson's eye ........

"Yet, in Peterborough alone, the electoral commission’s own official figures show that hundreds of reports of electoral fraud have been made to the electoral commission over the past few Local and General Elections, including many for ‘tampering with ballot papers’. To date, however, none of these concerns and genuine reports have led to any convictions, with some even being suspiciously recorded on the EC database as having been ‘dealt with locally’ by Peterborough City Council."

They lost me in describing Labour Party campaigners at Peterborough as "Momentum Trolls" in the first sentence. They really have taken this defeat in Peterborough badly the Kamikaze No deal Brexit cult haven't they? Its maybe taking a while for it to sink in that they really are in a minority.

Public Info

11 Jun at 10:07

Thank you for your email to the Electoral Commission concerning the Peterborough by-election last week. The result for the by-election can be seen on the council’s website.

We are aware of reports that there was a high turnout amongst postal voters at the by-election. Turnout amongst registered postal voters was almost 70%. That does not mean that 70% of all votes cast at the by-election were postal votes. The council have informed us that 9,498 valid postal votes were counted and 24,500 votes were cast in person.

You may be interested to see that the Acting Returning Officer at Peterborough has published a detailed briefing on the by-election on their website setting out the results, the checks made on postal votes and what anyone who wants to make an allegation about the result should do.

Checks on postal votes

The Electoral Administration Act 2006 introduced new measures to improve the security of postal and proxy votes. From 1 January 2007 all postal and proxy voters in England and Wales have been required to give their signature and date of birth when applying for a postal or proxy vote. A signature and date of birth are also required on the postal vote statement sent with the ballot papers, 100% of these must be checked against the original personal identifiers. Peterborough City Council has confirmed that 100% of postal votes were checked.

It is an offence for anyone to complete a postal vote that is not their own, and to influence how others complete their postal vote.

Allegations of electoral fraud

Every police force has a designated Single Point of Contact (known as a SPOC) to lead on election-related crime and give specialist advice to local police officers.

If you have evidence that electoral fraud has been committed you should contact the police immediately. You should be prepared to give them a statement to substantiate your allegation. You can contact the police using 101. If you do not want to contact the police, you can report the issue anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or using their online reporting service

We are aware of reports that allege that a political party had a particular individual associated with their campaign. Should you wish to complain about this, you should contact the party directly. Should you want to make an allegation about electoral fraud, please refer to the points above.

Thank you for contacting the Electoral Commission.

Kind regards

I doubt you're man enough to apologize .......

That said it appears the EC is not going to investigate........No surprise there .........

Perhaps the 3rd of all votes being postal is now the new norm in elections ........

So have you done your public duty and presented your evidence to the police?

Still hurting?

I'll update the forum.....IF....I get a reply from the email I sent to the Electoral Commission .......

You can barely read let alone write so we won't be falling for that guff. In fact i'll say here and now there won't ever be any 'reply'......because you're telling porkies as usual, You're a fake.

Barry was right...you're still licking your wounds.

I guess we'll find out soon how partisan our establishment is ..........

Just as i thought, in other words you haven't emailed the EC and were just making it up....lying again as you always do.

Do you want to back your allegation up with a bet Dumbo? .........

I don't bet and certainly not on liars. If you were honest about your claim you wouldn't need to ask anyone to make a bet.......you'd post up copy of the reply with official head stamp as proof. The same as i did over my MP contact and DoH response. But you won't be able to because you're just blowing off your usual sh1te.
