Mick H.
If you are a Site person there are plenty there. If you're an off site person beware, they are pretty officious in the forest. Mick.

Mel B
heavyhorse - 2008-12-06 12:10 PM we have just bought our first motorhome ( autosleeper ), would you recommend that we put the silverscreens down during the winter months to help keep out the cold and also put a little heat into the van. Hi HH and welcome to the 'MMM stables'! :-> I'm not sure exactly what putting your silverscreens down means, but if you are referring to your blinds and are talking about using them to block out the cold then it might not be such a good idea. This can cause problems with the springs being stretched all the time and make them weak and not retract properly in the future. There are so many air vents etc in motorhomes that this is not likely to make much difference to the temparature inside the van anyway. As for putting a little heat in it, some people use greenhouse type heaters (the electric ones) to just keep it above freezing, however, we've had motorhomes since 1997 and have never bothered, so long as you give it a run every few weeks, which is a good thing to do anyway to keep the brakes etc in good order, and give it a good airing at the same time it should be find. If you want, you can remove the seat cushions etc to the house to keep them at a higher temperature than in the van but again, so long as they are well aired, you shouldn't really need to.
