A recomended Motorhome and recovery.

As regards breakdown recovery, I use Mayday through The Caravan Club and operated by Green Flag. There are no length/weight restrictions and if you have the highest level of cover you will even be taken to a site then collected and returned home or to your local garage after your holiday if you suffer a breakdown en-route to the site. You would even be towed off soft ground if necessary. I have found Green Flag to be very efficient.

Arrival through The Camping and Caravanning Club and operated by RAC is a similar service but is considerably more expensive than Mayday.

Both these schemes are for members of the respective clubs.

We had to use Safeguard several years ago for a breakdown the service was very good.

We were put into a Hotel for 5 days whilst the van was repaired, we also had a hire car for the same period. We were kept informed what was happening re repair. The Hotel was also excellent.

The driver of the recovery vehicle was good, he was very concerned about the fact that we had a tow bar so he put blocks and planks down so that the tow bar did not get damaged when the van was loaded.

Safeguard use the AA.

We have been with Safeguard now for about 15 years, we have looked at other insurers and recovery providers but the never come up the same value as Safeguard.
