donna miller
I don't know if this has been posted before, but it doesn't matter if it has. Buy some of those cheap setbelt pads, and fit them round the rungs of the ladder you use to climb up to your bed, they are so much more comfortable than wood or aluminium on bare feet. ROON
Hi Donna, Yes, and also the lagging tubes of sponge that go round pipes are good too. I used them on my daughter's bunk bed when she was little. My big problem with the overhead bed is I have nothing to hang onto when I swing my legs round and my feet havn't yet found the rungs..... not a pretty sight... 8-)
howie
Good idea Donna, but just make sure they don,t 'spin' when you put your weight on them.
donna miller
What do you mean "put your weight on it" Are you calling me a fat bird Howie :D Good point though. The steps on my ladder are flat, so the pads can be pulled tight as they have velcro strips.
howie
Nothing wrong with being a fat bird Donna, and whatever shape your'e in be happy. Slipped climbing over a style 4 years ago. 5 months in plaster, 6 months physio, and only in the last year getting back to something like full mobility. Not here to advise others on health and safety, but hate to think of anyone injuring themselves on something as simple as climbing into the overcab. ;-)
