Long Vacation 2016

We are relatively new to motor homing and are off for four months next year, planning to tour France. Are there any must see places and stops that anybody could recommend. We are still in the planning stages, the practical side of things we are ok with, its the" where shall we go" side of things that we would appreciate any advice with.

many thanks

No disrespect but you are asking something that is almost impossible to answer, as everybody has different tastes and desires. France is a very large country with a miraid of attractions. I suggest that any travel guide would be a place to start and if you have any particular destinations that look attractive, then ask for opinons.

There is also a huge choice in sites and aires in France, some excellent others less so and again each person has their own list of favourites.

Hi

As Dave implies, there's a lot and no matter where you visit, there will always be something you've missed. Planing is half the fun though. Take a look at sites such as this http://en.airecampingcar.com/ which provide the some sites on a zoomable map. Plan a route and research what there is around.

We had a great trip trough France from Switzerland via the Loire region to Britanny and then on to Ireland with the ferry last year. The aires and campsites we used were all found by internet search and reading recommendations. We loved it!

Regards

Alan
