gertie
We are taking our dog to Croatia and wondered if anyone can recommend a vet within 48 hours of Dunkirk (France) to get her ticked and sprayed and her passport suitably stamped? dogmad
I agree with Alan, we've been to them twice and will be using them again this year. They're really good with nervous dogs, tempting them with treats to get them to swallow the worming tablet, unlike some who will force them down the dog's throat. We stay at a les Castels site in Guines for our last 1 or 2 nights before returning to the UK, Ardres is just 5 mins from there. Like Ardres, it's a small town but has a great market on Fridays. mac111051
Hi just to let you know that french vets have have now been instructed to only use an injection for worms, never had a problem finding a vet get on the municipal camp site and ask at reception, have taken the dog since the pets passport came out and never booked a vet they have allways been willing to do it straight away or next day , Malcolm

maggyd
Thats a rip off!! I wonder why they stopped allowing you to take frontline and a tablet?
Mr. Grumpy
We came back from France in mid April and the vet quite happliy gave our dog a worming pill and never mentioned injection. We always book a vet through Dogs Away and they guarantee to provide a vet who will give pills rather than injection.

mac111051
French vets where instructed in september 2007 to only use injections for worms, we questioned this as we did not want the dog to have a injection and was shown the letter from the ministry , whether the vets will comply with this I do not know, we know what the French are like
maggyd
How do you pay these Vets Cash or debit Card?
alan
The Vet at Ardres, near Calais had the normal credit/debit card facilities, standard pin, etc and I would suggest this is normal in all Vets. Alan
