Welcome to the Out&AboutLive forums, Morag.

It’s stating the obvious, but have you actually switched the power on?

You haven’t said when your Rimor motorhome was made, but it will have a control-panel somewhere (often over the living-area’s entrance-door) that deals with the ‘habitation’ electrical services (lights, water-pump, etc.) and the control-panel will have a main On/Off switch.

I’m guessing (and it’s very much a guess) that your Superbrig may have the make/type of control-panel shown here

http://www.arsilicii.com/public/Documents/AS00007_GB.pdf

The main On/Off switch is the LEFTMOST of the 4 buttons on the lower part of the panel and is illustrated at the bottom of page 2 of the control-panel document. This button is referred to as “P1” on page 3 of the document and is described as follows

"P1 - Makes it possible to cut off the energy or supply all the services, therefore, it is a true and proper main switch. The light on indicates that there is voltage on the electric system, vice versa all the services are not supplied. If the led flashes it means that there is a failure on a part of the system.”

If the P1 button is pressed and its little light illuminates, there should be 12V power in the motorhome. If it is not possible to get the P1’s light to illuminate, there’s a problem.

If your Rimor’s control-panel is a different one, the principles should still be the same. The panel will carry a main On/Off button/switch and this will normally light up when it’s in the ON position. When the button/switch is illuminated 12V power should be present.

(Have you any Owners Instruction handbooks for this motorhome that might help you?)
