Location: Hampshire
Want to put a roof box on top of 2010 tracker, but not sure if roof can stand being walked on?
Or fit aluminium box somewhere else on van. We have a two bike rack which takes our tandem but need more external storage space for tools and bike bits. Van is 6.2 m long. All suggestions gratefully received.

We had a roof box on a previous MH it caused water ingress problems, wind resistance thus we were using much more fuel it also cut our speed down considerably. We took it off to cure the water ingress and were very pleasantly surprised by the increase in MPG and it added about 15 mph to our speed. It also took a lot of weight off the roof, and most of the stuff in the box was hardly ever used. Would never ever consider fitting one again.
