alanedwin
Hello all, My le voyageur has one of these chargers fitted which handles two hab batteries and the starter battery. I found that it wasn't charging the starter on hookup. I suspected the line fuse and sure enought it had gone. I replaced it today and it's now charging. Now, two things came up while I was doing this, the fuse that had gone was 50 amp. In the online instruction manual for the installation of the charger it recommends 10amp for the starter battery. This makes me wonder why the factory felt the need to put that fuse in and what could have blown a fuse that big. Would starting the engine while on hookup cause that as I know that this is not recommended. The other thing was that while checking the control panel I noticed that the battery capacity was set to 100 ah. I have 2 x100 ah batteries, should it be set to 200? Any advice gratefully received.
