We are at a camp site in Folkstone waiting to go over to france in a day or two and have been told to get away from calais and head for dieppe, so can anybody tell us of a site that is open and how far from calais it is first time over the water. lennyhb Posted October 25, 2015 Share Posted October 25, 2015 Nice Aire at Dieppe below the cliffs next to the ferry port. €7 a night, free servicing and dozen EHU's. We were there Wednesday night busy for time of year but still quite a few spaces. There is another one on the sea front but just a parking area. laimeduck Posted October 25, 2015 Share Posted October 25, 2015 Best times, about 2-2.5 hrs from Calais via autoroutes 120 miles with tolls or 2.5 -3 hrs on ordinary roads 100 miles free and gratis. Depends what you want .... see the scenery and France or get to Dieppe quickly! Being your first time you will probably be amazed at how good and traffic free the French roads are.
