Hi all, Starter motor is kaput and Fiat don't supply them anymore. Van is a 1996 1.9td Ducato. The Fiat part No. I'm chasing is 7726946 or exchange 71721296. If anyone knows where I can find one I would be eternally grateful. Thanks for your time, Ian.

An alternative way forward might be to have your present starter-motor repaired/refurbished and there are quite a few companies that specialise in doing this.

HI there, Thankyou both for your advice. I managed to find a starter on Ebay £82.50. My first Ebay purchase. Local Wilko Motosave lined up to do fitting £50 so, hopefully, all will be well (watch this space). Any newbie reading this take heart. There are people on these forums willing to help anyone. All you need do is ask. All the Best, Ian.

Mine's a 1997 Boxer, had no problem replacing it by my local garage. What a difference! After years of sluggish starting, it now spins a start like my car.
