tyres

my neighbour has just had two new tyres fitted to her car by a tyre fitter and she noticed that he had put 2new green dust caps on the valves. When she asked why this was so he told her that they had filled the tyres with neoprene to protect the inside of the tyre from deteriorating because she does not do a lot of mile.My question is, if this is good for that problem why are caravan/motorhome owners not advised to do this as their vans stand a lot? . ANY THOUGHTS OR COMMENTS PLEASE

Further negative advice about nitrogen tyre inflation:

(I have a 1980s wheel + tyre in my garage and, despite having not added air to the tyre since then, the tyre is still well-inflated. This is undoubtedly due to the air inside the tyre being pre-global-warming standard and unaffected by nowaday’s massively increased pollution levels. If any forum-member would like some of this top-quality air to put in their motorhome’s tyres I’d be happy to e-mail it to them.)
