---Fitting a Fiamma Garage slide out Bike Rack

I have one of these to fit inside the garage on my Pilote.

There are 6 attachment points to the lower rails with 3 bolt holes in each one to take an M5 bolt.

Do you think a penny washer and locknut on each one underneath the garage floor is enough to spread the load (as well as some sealant between the washer and the garage floor underneath) or should i put some sort of plate underneath so the load is spread wider?

I would certainly spread the load - I'm not sure quite how the floor of your Pilote is constructed, but they are usually some kind of composite with a foam/PU core.

A bit of aluminium plate and a decent gloop of PU sealant will ensure the substrate is kept waterproof.

I looked at the Fiamma option but thought it expensive - I simply purchased two roof mounted cycle racks from Halfords and installed them through the garage floor [with suitable reinforcement on the underside] which have the advantage of being 'freestanding' so not requiring any additional arms.

Clearly not as good as the Slide Pro, but does the job well enough.
