Bop
In 2016 we bought a new Imala 620 as our first motorhome. In principle it was a great layout but the quality of the van was so incredibly poor that we got rid of it within a few months. I still wonder to this day whether or not Autotrail allowed the local primary school children to build it on its behalf.

pottypam
Have had our Imala 615 since December 2014, one of the first made. We have done over 35000 miles, including 5 2 month European tours, so obviously we like it. The only major problem we have had was sticking windows, blamed by AutoTrail on a faulty batch of window rubbers. The rubbers were replaced by AutoTrail. The first lot was fitted by our usual dealer. Unfortunately, the second lot were badly replaced by another dealer, closer to home. This year the one window which has not had the rubbers replaced, started leaking, resulting in damp in the wall below it. Our usual dealer says it will have to cut out part of the wall and replace it. Hopefully, this will be done under the damp ingress warranty. We like the storage in it. In our previous 4 berth van, there was nowhere to store bedding for 2, let alone 4 and did not have a separate shower. The large lockers over the cab swallow our Duvalays, spare covers and towels, packs of kitchen paper and, on our last trip, 30 toilet rolls. The shelved cupboard under the sink takes all our (and the dog’s) food. The fridge is a bit on the small side so, as we only used the freezer for veg, we removed it and buy tins instead. Bathroom storage also is a bit sparse but the shelves in the shower can hold quite a lot of bottles, We like the heating, having had just blown air in our last van, we like just to be able to put the fire on chilly evenings or mornings. We aren’t too keen on the large rectangular vent in the bathroom . The door handle can be a bit hot to handle if the heating is on continually for a long time! It can also be a bit uncomfortably hot taking things out of the wardrobe when the fire only is on. I was looking at the latest Imala 615 last week and there only seem to be a few minor differences to ours, none of which seem to be improvements but wouldn’t stop me buying it. Hope this helps.
