Nigel51
Hi,I'm looking at getting a cover for our motorhome a Bailey 79-6. I've looked at Pro-tec but they are just too expensive. Now looking at a Maypole 4-Ply Premium Breathable Full Motorhome Cover. They do a 7.5m to 8.0m. As the Bailey is 8m long bumper to bumper, anybody had experience to confirm if this cover will be ok? We also have a folded bike rake on the back which adds about 9 inches. Not sure if there is much leeway with the max cover dimension. Any help would be much appreciated.ps. I have contacted Leisure Outlet but they would not confirm it suitability.
Derek Uzzell
You could try contacting Maypole themselves sales@maypoleltd.co.uk though as the Maypole description quotes dimensions of Length 802cm x Width 265cm x Height 270.5cm https://www.maypoleltd.com/product/mp9426-fits-7-5m-to-8m-4-ply-motorhome-cover/ your Bailey is already right at the limit length-wise even without the bike rack. (Is it difficult/time-consuming to remove the rack?) Unless you are really lucky and an O&ALive forum-member can give you a Yes-or-No answer based on personal experience, your best bet for advice should be the Bailey Motorhome Owners Group on Facebook. https://en-gb.facebook.com/groups/1433322080268895/ There’s also a Bailey sub-forum on MotorhomeFun https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum/forums/bailey-motorhomes.231/ and I notice you’ve made the same enquiry on the MHFacts forum. Steve928
Could I recommend a different Bailey FB group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/616587152142591 Although it has fewer members at present they are the knowledgeable, helpful and friendly ones who left the group in Derek's post, which is now run by an anti-Bailey ex-owner.
