ColinM50
I've been here long enough to know the answer to this but in reality have never taken much notice of battery questions since mine was fairly new. But Went into the m/h last week, turned the main switch on, only to find it was already on. Tried to switch the pump on but it had less life than a dodo even though the solar panel was connected. Hmm, odd?. Seems I must have left something on with no EHU connected. I blame SWMBO or the dog but that doesn't really help. So, I plugged the EHU in and checked a couple of days later and it seems to be working again, but for how long? Planning to go away this coming weekend to a site with no EHU, so will the battery last or should I just bite the bullet now and buy a new one? Battery is a Yuasa L36 AGM95AH. Tempted to buy a slightly bigger AH one and maybe ??? wire them both in in parallel. Or??? Any ideas chaps please
ColinM50
Nobody? Quite surprised but problem solved. Went to a battery specialist this morning and they tested it for me. 12.6 volts and 103% amps stored in it so their recommendation was do nothing and save the money esp since it's only a habi battery and CCA not relevant. Just thought you might like to know 8-) :-D
PhilnShaz
Best thing you could have done. I wouldn't suggest fitting a second battery, unless you are going to buy two at the same time, otherwise one will drag the other one down. See how you go , you should manage a few days without ehu if you minimize your 12 volt use.
colin
If solar is working correctly where you parked, then first thing would be to double check what caused the battery to drop.
