Derek Uzzell
There is an on-line tariff calculator for the A63 autoroute http://www.a63-atlandes.fr/fr/calculateur-de-tarifs/ This indicates that for a Class 2 vehicle (which your Burstner motorhome should be) the cost would be €11.40 for a Bayonne-Bordeaux journey. The means of payment are defined here http://www.a63-atlandes.fr/fr/moyens-de-paiement/ Cash can be used
Derek Uzzell
It’s worth highlighting that the on-line tariff calculator mentioned above only covers the section of road that fairly recently extended the A63 autoroute and is ‘owned’ by “L’Organisation D’Atlandes”. This section runs from Junction 9 (someway north of Bayonne) to the Arcachon turn-off (someway south of Bordeaux), so joining the A63 south of Junction 9, or exiting the A63 north of the Arcachon turn-off would involve extra payments. For a centre-of-Bayonne to the Bordeaux ring-road journey using the A63, for a motorhome the Mappy route finder suggests an overall cost of €17.10 for toll fees. Apparently toll fees for the A63 are NOT charged on a pay-on-exit basis and, with careful planning, the cost can be reduced but (most of) the autoroute can still be used. There’s on-line advice about doing this. https://tinyurl.com/y4cpcd96
