niktam Posted March 3, 2021 Share Posted March 3, 2021 Hopefully someone has the answer to this as I presently have AA personal family cover and you get a substantial discount by haggling each year. The problem is I now tow a scooter and buried in the conditions is a 3500kg weight limit it doesn't mention Gross Train Weight but it appears to me that the all up weight (GTW) has to be less than 3500kg. Presumably to prevent having to recover a large car/van and a trailer with a GTW of 6T or so. I also need to cover vehicles over 15 years and motorcycles and trailers of course. I could try and be smart and if I broke down towing I could take the scooter off and leave my wife with the MH and I ride home on the scoot therefore under the GTW notwithstanding that the MH,trailer and scooter with no passengers(the actual recovered would be less than 3500kg?) I have only just renewed the MH insurance so I can't go down that route but it is looking like AA personnel cover and separate cover elsewhere for the MH to include trailer cover?
