arthur49
sunbeam - 2019-02-25 11:06 PM ........... any UK citizens living in Ireland after Brexit will not be allowed to drive on a UK license and will have to apply for a Irish one now that is the south of Ireland I take it that the distinction is if a UK resident lives there they need to apply for and obtain an Irish licence, BUT if a UK resident is a visitor for up to X months then a UK licence will be fine? TeamRienza
Yes UK licence is fine for holidays in Republic of Ireland. Anyway you need to have a permanent address there before exchanging a licence for an Irish one. Since the common travel area supersedes the Schengen Agreement of 90 days stay, I don’t imagine it will be an issue. ROI is not part of schengen area anyway.
