Hi all. we intend to travel from Ireland to Wales at easter to spend a week in Pembrokeshire. We have heard of C.Ls. but never stayed in them, any advice and addresses would be greatly appreciated.

You'll need to be a member of the Caravan Club or the Camping and Caravanning Club to use CL-type campsites. Joining the club gets you a guide that provides information about all the sites that are part of each club's scheme. If you search the forum using "caravan club" (omitting the quotes) you'll pick up some recent comments that may be useful.

Hi Maureen, We use CC CL's all the time and are generally well satisfied. There is no definitive CL - they vary considerably and it depends on your requirements. If you are a member of the CC you can refer to the book which usually describes the CL in some detail. Generally, if the CL has electric hook-up then the site will be reasonable. Some are really mini camp sites, whilst other just provide the absolute minimum. As we mostly only stay overnight we are not too bothered about the facilities as long as we can get level (quite a lot of CL's do slope) we are happy. Do give more then one of them a try. Have a nice time. Roy.
