Pete-B
Hi All, As anyone used the Chapel Lane Caravan Club site at Whythall near Birmingham. Just wondered if you can get the bus into Litchfield or Birmingham from there. Thanks
Brock
This is what the site leaflet says, "Public transport. Bus stop opposite site for Solihull and a 15 minute walk for Birmingham. Trains from Whitlocks End run every 20 minutes into Birmingham City Centre." I think the Birmingham trains come from Stratford. The station is about a mile and a half away; you have to cross a busy roundabout but we managed it without any worries. You could always try borrowing a bus from the Bus Museum next door to the site. Lichfield is north of Birmingham, about a couple of hours+ away by train [change at Birmingham] or an hour's drive. I like this site. It's spacious, maintained to the standards you'd expect, and has no difficulty coping with large outfits on flat hard standing. It's not the most attractive looking site though. paulmold
We've been a few times. There is one bus a day to Birmingham from the end of the lane, the site will give you the time. If it's too early for you then as said above, its a few minutes walk to the normal busstop.
