monique.hubrechtsgm
It was a problem for me to close : IE when the key was pulled out. You can not remove the cap. I struggle whit these tiny cylinders for years. And never get the clue of it. The key has two sides identical so it it does not matter how to plug in. But plug in should be max of the key. The cylinder can be easy come out. Dealers can copy the the key and put a new cylinder in it. How you open it and how to close?

Derek Uzzell
This video relates to locking/unlocking a water-tank filler cap I’ve not had any real difficulty, though I do occasionally squirt dry PTFE into the lock barrel to ensure that the key moves easily and (as witzend mentions) I make sure that the cap’s rubber seal won’t stick. Filler-cap design varies https://tinyurl.com/y6elvjcz and some caps will be harder to rotate than others. In such instances it may be practicable to DIY a tool to help, but I've never found a need. On the other hand, the large circular inspection caps fitted to many fresh-water tanks can be very difficult to unscrew and I keep a DIYed tool in my motorhome to undo them should access to the tank’s interior. be needed.
