TheFrenchConnection
Had them on our old Hymer and never used them. Don't have them on our new van and don't miss them. Each to his own!
Yorkyrunner
I use lightweight plastic axle stands available from most camp shops I just adjust them to the height as we have quite a good overhang they work a treat and at around £20/25 pounds very economical buy
mikebeaches
Ninian - 2019-08-10 8:54 PM Hi, Looking for recommendations for my 2014 Fiat Dakota. They're for ex-caravanners aren't they? *-) ;-) We had them on an old Rapido, but never bothered to work out how they operated. Not considered fitting them on the two new vans we've had since then. Geeco
Before we purchased our current MH some 4 years ago we inspected a large number of different models. One of the items we noted was that the Fiat based MH's seemed to us more stable when walking from front to rear. The vehicles that seemed to have the most side to side movement were Mercedes based vehicles. Possibly this is due to a softer suspension on the MB vehicles. We purchased a Fiat based vehicle so did not feel we needed steadies. However if we had opted for a MB bases vehicle we would probably have fitted steadies to the rear. A case of horses for courses! Cheers,
