Agaric
I've been reading about this company for a couple of years and it now looks like a take-off situation with money and orders coming in. It looks to me a good size for a 3500kg 'A' class. https://www.designboom.com/technology/ev-manufacturer-arrival-electric-white-van-green-10-02-2019/ https://arrival.com/
Bop
I quite like that. It certainly beats some of the ugly looking motorhomes that frequent our roads these days.
Ocsid
One is left wondering the price of the windscreen replacement.
Conrad
Looks great, love the huge front screen, what a view you'll enjoy. Is the future nearly here?
Agaric
I think a read of this will tell you how they manufacture and how close that is. https://arrival.com/news/ups-invests-in-arrival-and-orders-10000-generation-2-electric-vehicles
HymerVan
The claim is that these vehicles will " (compete with) mercedes-benz sprinter and the volkswagen crafter by creating an electric vehicle that costs the same price as petrol and diesel equivalents. The Sprinter and Crafter at say £40,000 are relatively expensive but this would still be relatively cheap for a full blown electric vehicle. The article makes it clear that it is still a prototype and there is no mention of the specification or source of the batteries which is one of the crucial and most expensive components. So for now I would just say that this looks very interesting and "watch this space". As a matter of pure logic SEVEL vans have not had a real design upgrade for nearly 15 years. An electric version exists but it has a limited range and I can't find a price. Given the age of the chassis design I can't believe that we won't see a new SEVEL Ducato/Peugeot/Citroen model in the next years or two and it will be electric.
