ike
Hi can anyone please suggest/recommend a dog travel restraint which can be attached to the seat belt on the rear travel seat belt? Our dog is too big to install a travel cage in the habitation area. Thanks in advance.

trialsrider
Our jack Russell has a seat belt strap which locks into the seat belt clip and attaches to his regular harness. It has saved him on many occasions when having to brake suddenly. It was a couple of quid from eBay. Obviously can only be used with a harness and not a collar. yoko8pups
This is the best one we have found, easy and quick to take on/off, soft fabric covering the whole of the chest so one place wouldn't take the force of a sudden braking and a lead to attach if you just want a quick p stop. We added an extra foot of seat belt, cheap from ebay for larger people,so the dog can get to the floor for a change of scene or if the sun comes round to the seat. http://www.allforpawspet.com/Catalog?idcollection=

Conrad
We looked around a lot and asked our dog trainer, who pointed out that many (including I think the two recommended by earlier posts) have plastic buckles, which are a weakness. She recommended Kurgo, which has metal buckles. The problem is there is no "industry standard," so you are a bit on your own, but we're very happy with Kurgo and think they are the safest. They can be a bit tricky to track down but I think we got them from https://www.care4dogsonthego.co.uk/product/kurgo-tru-fit-enhanced-dog-car-and-walking-harness/
