We are thinking of going to the Dusseldorf Show this year. Can anyone help with a couple of questions? 1)Is it worth going? (subjective I know) 2)How easy is it to get to the show? 3)What stop over/camping arrangements are there? 4)Are there any shows in the UK that are better or just as good? (same as question one) Many thanks.

GO It's the best camping arranged with purpose built area. Mindbogling array of EVERYTHING! British exhibition organisers take note.

The show is well worth the visit. It puts the NEC to shame. Access is easy through France, Holland and Germany to Dusseldorf by motorway. You park on the showground parking area. This is on perforated concrete blocks with grass growing up in the perforations - so you do not see the blocks. Small trees line each area so you are parked one behind the other in rows. Camping charges are per day and these are very reasonable as are the admission charges. Some pitches have hookup. There is a beer tent and food outlets in the camping area. Free entertainment (Try the beer which is not free) laid on each evening. Many food outlets in the halls and again the prices tend to be lower than the UK shows and portions bigger. Two people can share one course, some of them are so big. Accessories area vast as is the motorhome area. More than you can see in three days. Multi-day tickets available. Free bendy-buses from camping area to the halls with different stopping points so you do not have to walk through the halls you saw the previous day. The show was not crowded on the three days we visited in 2004. A pleasure to walk round. The show has it's own web site. GO FOR IT - YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED
