Guest Gerry
Has anyone had expearance staying at the Highland show as I believe their is no offical camp site, is the car park area safe, or can you get in to the show ground some how, etc, likewise for the Tattoo later in the year which out of town camp site has the better bus link to get back to the camper at night say 11:00 P M
Guest Ray
Hi Gerry We went to the Tattoo last year and stayed on the Caravan Club site (Page 225). There was a pre booked mini bus service from, and back to the site. I think the cost was about £7.00 return. The site and the service were excellent. We are going again this year. Cheers Ray. Guest Norma
If you are a trader/exhibitor it is possible to stay in certain areas on site. Not sure if visitors have the same opportunity. The traders etc have passes/stickers to allow entry to car park. Ordinary punters can't. There is a camp site very near the showground - Linwater Camp site, see Google. We live less than 2 miles from the ground and there are several wildcamping opportunities if you are interested! For instance the site of the demolished hotel at the Forth Bridge is used as an overnight truck stop. More details on request.
