Casimir
My van is based on a 2007 Fiat Ducato with the 3.0L engine. I have an intermittent P0638 error code (orange light - check engine). According to my OBD2 scanner there is a problem with the "Throttle Actuator Control" which is sometimes referred to as a "Throttle Body", and it will have to be replaced. After some research on this great forum and elsewhere I have decided that whilst it will not be not particularly easy, I could replace the throttle body myself. However before going ahead and ordering the part my questions are - 1. has anybody else experienced the P0638 error code and what did they do? and 2. Is it possible that something other than the Throttle Body is causing this error code?
